Careful!!!

So last entry.... and it's a bit of advice that I heard on the radio.
Since the winter months have FINALLY come to an end... hopefully! I heard on the radio that since we've been wearing closed shoes during the winter, our foot muscles arne't strong enough... so when you begin wearing flats and flip flops since it's the season for it..... your feet muscles and shin musclees will probably hurt... so... in that case you gotta work your way back into wearing flats and flip flops slowly.....
Anyway.... good shoes are a must but remember try and keep them cute and stylish... oh and.... uhhh .... don't forget the pedis ladies!

Louboutin World

For anyone who loves shoes, the way they look, the way they feel... even if you just like looking at them.... you have to visit www.christianlouboutin.com
That could possibly be the best website i've seen for a designer. It's super creative and really plays on your senses.
You can learn about the designer, his beginnings, his inspiration you can also look at upcoming events, you can find locations to buy Louboutin's near your area, and most importantly you can look at the collections, both new and classis.
His website had been under sonstruction for so long... I can now understand why. He has defiately gone up in the website world.... it's got the same feel at the Christian Dior website... almost like a story line.
The cutest part of the website though is definately the little pair of Black leather Louboutin pumps with the signature red sole walking across the screen. Very nice added touch.
I really recommed that people go check if out... It's definately worth it.

ALTHOUGH I can't wait for sandle season... people... get o those pedicures... no one likes to see unkempt feet.... especially in sandles.

I Did It!!!!

This weekend may have been one of the most successful in terms of shoe purchases.

I'll start off by talking about Thrusday.

I went into Stance just to look around and I saw the coolest shoes! Black, blue, red and white.... with skulls and roses! Pretty cool! Not what people would expect of me but really I love any shoe that is either classic or different. So of course I bought them.... can't say they AREN'T different.

Day two.... Saturday. Yeah Yeah I took Friday off.

I went to Sherway with my mom. We went into Marciano.... I ended up purchasing a pair of black super strappy 4 inch stilletos. SOOO cute.... criss crosses across the toeas and a bunch of bunched up straps around the ankle with a zipper on the inside.... couldn't resist.

Decided to go into Stoneridge... since it's getting warmer and my feet sweat in my Uggs and it's too cold for flats... I kinda sorta had to get a pair of spring boots.... Bought some olie green boots with a hidden platform heel. They have brown patent leather straps around the ankle and up the side.... super comfy... look awesome with leggings....

Myfeet love me.... not more suffocation for the warmer weather.

Flip Flops in Cuba

Went to Cuba over reading week.... I managed to narrow down my shoe import to three pairs not including flip flops and the runners I wore on the plane.
Really I don't know why I even brought them because I ended up living in my flip flops. It's not like the roads or even the walkways at the resort are made for wedged heels let alone high heels. Oh well at least I was prepared for the shoe selection, although it was really cold and I kinda wish I had brought my warm fuzzy Uggs... but I was NOT prepared for the cold weather.
Well I guess you live you learn, NEVER under estimate the power of an appropriate shoe in the respective country.... although I was totally thrown off..... but I survived with my flip flops....

'Tis the Season to be Fluorescent

Location: Bloor Street...... again
Location Louis Vuitton boutique
Situation: Everything is fluorescent!
Yes.... I was on Bloor Street again this weekend. My friend is looking for a Louis Vuitton messenger bag. So we went to the boutique and honestly there is fluorescent everything including shoes They had a fabulous pair of fluorescent pick stiletto pumps which if I could afford to spend an obscene amount of money to wear them for one season then I would. They also had some really cool high top runners that were black and fluorescent in different colours.
I also went to Browns. There was a really nice pair of black peep toe Mimossa pumps but it looked like someone had taken a paint brush and splattered fluorescent blue, yellow, purple and pink paint in strips all over the shoe.... So nice very electric looking. I asked for my size... apparently they had my size in Vancouver and Montreal and they only had 8 pairs left in Canada...... I left empty handed.... I figured there wasn't much point in ordering them because I wouldn't be able to pick them up when they came in.
Holt.... also had a whole bunch of really nice fluorescent pumps.... so fun to look at but only good for one season..... I left empty handed from there too. Maybe next time..... in a few years..... when i'm not living at home anymore.

His name.....Christian Louboutin

So I really want a pair of peep toe black patent leather Christian Louboutin pumps unfortunately it's just not in the cards for me.

So a bit about Christian Louboutin.

Born in France in 1963. By the time he was 12 he was cutting classj to go to clubs and looking at the women's shoes. He left school at 16 and moved to the shoe manufacturing capital of France to design shoes.

The trademark red sole of a Louboutin shoe, was inspired by one of his assistants who was painting her nails red while he was working on a shoe. He used the nailpolish on the sole of one of the designs and he felt that it "completed" the look of the shoe.... and that was that.

When you see a red sole walking around you can immediately tell it's a Louboutin. Women all over the world are drawn to these shoes. They come with prestige and fashionability.

Honestly, what women wouldn't want to add that to her wardrobe?

Mecca for Beuatiful Shoes..... Two words: Holt Renfrew!

So I was downtown Toronto with my mom this past weekend. We went to Holt on Bloor Street.

Now I know that going in there unfocused is dangerous for me but that's ok I managed.

I initially tried on these really cute Christian Louboutin wedge slip ons in black, I was only trying them on for size because I was looking for them in beige, anyway apparently they weren't as cute as I initially thought, total flop with my mom. Yes, my mom's opinion matters to me because she is the ONLY person who will be honest with me about anything without having a hidden agenda.

So I pushed those Louboutin's outta my head, because if she doesn't like something I pretty much lose excitement over it. So I found this REALLY nice pair of Theory shoes, stacked heel, reddish/coral leather, thick criss cross strap across the front and a strap across the toes... SOOO nice.... but unfortuatnely couldn't buy them because I have a nice heafty cell phone bill to pay this month.... maybe next month. But anyway my mom got a really cute pair of Tori Birch shoes. Beige, dark brown and orange with a gold clasp... soooo nice and so summer-like.

I can't wait for the rest of the spring inventory to come in.... I'll die lol... at least I'll be in Shoe Mecca when it happens!

How I Adore You Mr.Choo

So I'm just gonna talk a little bit about one of my favourite shoe designers :Mr. Jimmy Choo.

Being lucky enough to own 2 pairs of these fabulous shoes I must say the history behind Mr. Choo's beautiful creations is pretty interesting.

Jimmy Choo hasn't been around for as long as youd' think. Launched in 1996, Jimmy Choo has come a very long way from his east end London start.

In April 2001 Jimmy Choo became a true ready-to-wear fabulous shoe business. Having only 4 existing stores, the CEO of Jimmy Choo decided to open 26 more stores in the fashion capitals of the world.

Just to put it into perspective of how rapidly Jimmy Choo climbed the ladder, in 2004 the company was valued at 101 million British pounds and in 2007 the value was at 185 million British pounds.... Not too shappy for someone who only started 10 years prior.

As of 2007 Jimmy Choo boutiques have popped up in 60 different locations... and hopefully more... like let's say TORONTO!!!!

Just something to think about next time you're trying to figure out what to wear

“It doesn’t matter what you are wearing – if you have good shoes and a good bag, you’ll look right”. Tamara Mellon, President and Founder – Jimmy Choo.

Cute shoes for a cute price

So best place eer: Style Sense. Well on a good day at least. That store is fabulous except you really gotta go frequently to see what new inventory comes in. Don't you worry it'll all tie into shoes.
I was at Style Sense the other day. Looked at alllllll of the shoes, tried some on and I came across the cutest Paris Hilton shoes. I know I know she's not exactly the best fashion icon but honestly the girl wears high heels alll the time and she's got good taste in shoes that's for sure. Honestly, I was surprised at how comfortable her shoes were. They are super cute and really affordable. Really.... you can't go wrong with a pair of fabulous ankle strap sitlettos for $60.
And to add to that, I also found some really cute Naughty Monkey shoes. Those are so under rated. I know I've seen them at Browns and at Capezio but they don't have a great selection. Style Sense has so many to choose from in so many colours! I found a pair of black, pink and grey suade heels. So fabulous! Look awesome with a pair of skinny jeans. Very mod 1960s. Geometric pattern but really quite simple.Again really comfortable, cute and affordable. Can't go wrong for $40.
I must say I don't usually go to places like Stle Sense because I rarely find something I like, but I was lucky this time around. And it just goes to show that you don't have to spend a fortune to have fabulous shoes!

It's not just a pair of shoes!

Ok so I know that not everyone has the same passion for shoes like I do (really I don't understand why but that's a different story). But honestly there is so much more to it than just something you put on your feet to get from point a to point b. Shoes are an accessory! They make or break an outfit. Think about it... there are 2 essential things to an outfit... your hair and your shoes! You can have a not-up-to-par outfit.... but as long as your hair is done and you throw on a pair of fabulous shoes... you're good to go!
And let me tell you.... to have a fabulous pair of shoes you definately don't have to break the bank... although for some reason that's my preferred method. What can I say? I definately have expensive taste!
